SSDI Benefit Offset Pilot

What is the Benefit Offset Pilot?

The Benefit Offset Pilot is a demonstration project for people who get SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance). The Pilot is intended to find out if people who get SSDI benefits (called "beneficiaries") are able and willing to work more and increase their earnings. The Social Security Administration is funding the Benefit Offset Pilot as a research project to gather information to improve national policy.

How can the Benefit Offset Pilot help me?

If you are enrolled in the Pilot from one of the four participating states, and are eligible for the Benefit Offset, you can earn more money and not lose your SSDI benefits. Your involvement will help us study how to change Social Security Administration policy so that beneficiaries can work more.
