Utah Employment Supports
The following list provides links to some of the specific programs and services that provide employment supports for people with disabilities in Utah. A Benefits Planner can give you more information about each of these resources. You can also get more information on Social Security or Medicare.
Medicaid Work Incentive
The Medicaid Work Incentive (MWI) program was designed for people with disabilities who are working, but because of their income and/or assets do not qualify for a "free" Medicaid Card. This Program allows a person to pay a premium that is based on their countable income and obtain a monthly Medicaid Card.
Employment Related Personal Assistance Services
EPAS is personal assistance for people with disabilities on Medicaid who are working and because of their disability, need personal assistance to work. EPAS services are covered benefits provided to support integrated and competitive employment opportunities for individuals with moderate to severe levels of disability. Read more about EPAS.

- The mission of Vocational Rehabilitation is to assist and empower eligible individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain meaningful employment.
- Utah Department of Workforce Services
- The Department of Workforce Services offers a wide variety of services related to employment and financial assistance.
- Utah Medicaid
- This is the general website for Utah’s Medicaid Agency. It provides information about a variety of Medicaid programs and links to other health programs available through the State of Utah.
- Utah Disability Law Center
- The mission of the DLC is to enforce and strengthen the laws that protect the rights of people with disabilities in Utah through legal advocacy. The DLC can provide assistance with resolving overpayments from Social Security. They also help individuals who feel they have been discriminated against because of a disability.
- Utah Assistive Technology Foundation
- The Utah Assistive Technology Foundation provides loans and grants to individuals with disabilities in Utah for the purchase of Assistive Technology. They coordinate their services with community organizations and others who provide independence-related support to individuals with disabilities.
- Access Utah Network
- Access Utah Network is a disability-related information and referral program. Contact the program for information about a variety of disability resources including local and state disability programs, and information about the Americans with Disabilities Act. The website has a listing of used and new assistive technology equipment available for donation or sale.
